Event
Pound the Pavement is an annual fundraising event organized by the Coach Carey Foundation. Proceeds from the race support the Coach Carey Foundation scholarship fund. Last year's event proved to be a huge success. We had an overwhelming response of 400+ participants. This year, we hope to exceed those numbers. Come and join in the fun!

Kids & K-9s
Pound the Pavement offers a 1 Mile Fun Run, Stroller Strut and Dog Walk to allow more of you to participate! The entire one mile course takes place on pavement, so the wheels on your strollers can easily speed through the streets of Pendleton. This year, we are excited to include clowns in our event. Bring the kids to partake in the fun! If you bring your K-9 friend, don't forget to bring your doggie doodoo bags! All dogs will receive a free Pound the Pavement doggie bandana to sport during the race.

The Course
The beginning of the 5K course is on pavement and the second half of the course will be on wide trails. The entire 1 mile course is on pavement for those that choose to push strollers!

Health Fair
Before and after the race, medical professionals will be administering cholesterol screenings and blood pressure checks. The health fair is open to all participants and the general public. Take advantage of this opportunity to get tested and speak with medical professionals about your results.
